Family Alleges Medical Negligence at GMC Doda
DODA/JULY 25/A heart-wrenching incident has shaken the community of District Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, where an 11-year-old girl named Sania, daughter of Shabir Ahmad Mir, allegedly lost her life due to medical negligence at Government Medical College (GMC) Doda. According to the family, Sania was taken into the operation theater at 8:30 AM on July 24, 2025, but her dead body was handed over to the family at 5:30 PM.
The family alleges that the doctors at GMC Doda attempted a highly complex procedure beyond their expertise, experience, and available medical infrastructure, which may have contributed to Sania’s untimely death. If proven true, this would not in only constitute medical negligence but could also fall under the category of culpable homicide. The family has demanded an immediate registration of an FIR against the doctors involved and an independent judicial inquiry to uncover the facts.
