Ethiopian Airlines Revenue Increases by 8% in 2024–25 Financial Year
Addis Ababa – Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline, has recorded an impressive 8% increase in revenue during the 2024–25 financial year, marking a solid recovery following a relatively slower growth of 1.5% in the 2023–24 period.

Passenger numbers also surged, reaching 919 million, reflecting an 11% increase compared to the previous year — a clear indicator of the airline’s strengthening global footprint.
According to Mefsin Tasew, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, the airline expanded its reach by adding six new international routes during the current financial year. Additionally, infrastructure at its hub continues to grow, with the airport now capable of handling up to 100 million passengers annually, and offering parking space for 270 aircraft.
