Limited Run Games Announces 16-bit Styled Masterpiece Earthion Blasting into Orbit on Steam® Today

Limited Run Games, a premium publisher of physical games, announced today that Earthion, Ancient Corporation’s much-anticipated 16-bit styled shooter, is ready to break orbit, arriving on digital download via Steam® from today!

A lovingly crafted ode to the glory days of 16-bit gaming, Earthion is an adrenaline packed sensory overload, designed to leave genre fans breathless via non-stop twitch-shooting action, taking place over eight diverse levels that promise to leave gamers breathless.

Using every graphical trick in the book (and inventing a few of its own), Earthion produces unrivalled 2D pixel visuals, bordering on the impossible, and pushing the limits of the golden era ofSEGA® Genesis™ / Mega Drive gaming. The silky-smooth visuals, designed by Ancient’s Makoto Wada, are matched only by the sensational score, composed by the legendary Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage, SHINOBI, ActRaiser), who flexes his musical muscles in style to deliver another stone-cold classic soundtrack.

Arriving today via digital download on Steam, Earthion is set to appear on home consoles, beginning with digital releases in September, followed by physical versions starting in late 2025, across PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X (physical, digital) and Xbox Series S (digital), and Nintendo® Switch™.
