Fifteen Injured After Mini-Bus Skids Off Sharp Curve and Falls Into Gorge in Udhampur

At least fifteen passengers, including several schoolchildren, were injured, when a mini-bus travelling towards Udhampur area of Jammu Kashmir skidded off a sharp curve near Dhalpar and fell into a deep gorge.

Officials said locals reached the spot immediately after the accident and, along with police personnel, began pulling the injured out of the damaged vehicle. The victims were shifted to the Government Medical College–Associated Hospital Udhampur, where medical teams are working to stabilise those with significant injuries.

Police said the vehicle appears to have lost control while navigating a steep bend, though the exact cause is still under investigation. Officers remained at the site to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash and to gather statements from witnesses. [KNT]
