Adani Ahmedabad Marathon 2025 Unveils Official Jersey with Community-Driven Design
The official jersey for the 9th Adani Ahmedabad Marathon 2025 was unveiled on Saturday at Palladium Mall, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of runners and fitness fans. The highlight of the launch was a striking artwork made from 15,000 recycled plastic bottle caps — a colourful interpretation of the tricolour that blends sustainability with creativity and national pride.
For this edition, designer Aaquib Wani teamed up with Adani Sportsline in an unusual collaboration. Local residents were invited to share their concepts, and Wani wove those ideas into his narrative-driven design style. The result is a vibrant jersey that captures the spirit of #Run4OurSoldiers and echoes Ahmedabad’s cultural energy.
“This unveiling marks an important milestone,” said Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer of Adani Sportsline. He thanked Wani for working closely with the community, noting that the design reflects both the marathon’s growing legacy and the city’s artistic pulse.

Recognised on the AIMS Global Marathon Event List, the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon continues to spotlight its core mission of honouring India’s armed forces.
This year’s race, scheduled for November 30, will once again start at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park. Runners will follow routes that pass some of Ahmedabad’s best-known landmarks, including Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram and Ellis Bridge. Participants can choose from four categories: the full marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km runs.
The marathon, organised by the Adani Group, has built a reputation for its scenic course and its tribute to India’s soldiers. First held in 2017, it reached its fifth edition in 2021. Early races drew close to 20,000 participants, while the following two editions saw slightly lower turnout with over 17,000 runners.
After the pandemic, the Ahmedabad Marathon became the first event in the city to return to a physical format, using time slots to accommodate more than 8,000 runners safely over two days in 2021.
Momentum grew again in 2022 when the event earned a place on the ‘Global Marathon Event List – AIMS World Running’, making it Ahmedabad’s only race on the international registry. By 2024, participation had crossed 20,000, strengthened by the #Run4OurSoldiers campaign.
That campaign remains the heart of the event. Last year, more than 3,000 defence personnel joined the run, and a significant portion of the proceeds continues to go toward the welfare of India’s armed forces.
