Ahead Of APEC Summit 2025; North Korea Tests New Weapon System Aimed At Bolstering Its Forces
Ahead of the APEC Summit 2025, North Korea has tested a new weapon system aimed at bolstering its defense forces against Pyongyang’s foes. This cutting-edge system, which uses hypersonic missiles, is aimed at upgrading the self-defensive technical capabilities of the DPRK.
As the APEC Summit 2025 is on the verge, where global geopolitical leaders like Donald Trump and others are set to move to South Korea, this weapon test has raised concerns as well.
The launch of this new weapon system was detected by Seoul’s military on Wednesday, and reports say that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un did not report this launch.
According to the KCNA agency, the test was aimed at enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of strategic deterrence against potential enemies. The news agency also stated that two hypersonic missiles were launched, which hit the country’s northeast.
However, the North Korean media did not share any details about the new missiles’ range, trajectory, angle, or speed, and the absence of Kim Jong Un at the launch may also raise concerns.
